Hi there,

I had admitted my son to Happy Kids Nursery in Sharjah. It seemed to be a good one, although he had to be put into Al Diyafah later due to my job.
I did visit Lollypop and Dreamland nursery in Sharjah, they seemed to be good as well.
Emirates Montessori is a new one, more details about it on the Creative Mumz website.

Since I live in sharjah I registered him on Lollipop but the porplem that they are working till 03:00 P.M and im finishing my duty @05:00 P.M and i need nursery time that can match my duty until 05:00 P.M with transportaion.

I know of the GULF MONTESSORI in Dubai, they conduct montessori training for teachers. If they have not changed address. its in the Splash building in Dubai near Maktoum bridge. You can call 181 to get their number. Regards

My daughter is gonna turn 3yrs on 1st june this year and only for being 1.5 month younger ( a kid should be 3 yrs on 15th april ) missed admission in cbse schools this year. I really don’t want her to miss 1 yr because of 1.5 month and want to admit her in CBSE school only. Any schools in sharjah which will take kids mid session in KG1 just after summer vacations (she will be 3 by then). Funny question perhaps but its indeed a concern 4 me…i am not very comfirtable with the idea of her wasting 1 precious yr of life just like that.

I noticed that there is no listing of Little Feet Nursery in the sharjah nurseries list. My son went to this nursery and it is a great place for little ones. Please do list this one. I fell in love with this place and the teachers there go that xtra mile to make the pre school experience of our children a treasured one. They have loads of activities, outings and fun days for the kids. The sports day and the graduation ceremony were indeed a great experience. Please do list this nursery and I would be glad to give anyone the details of the nursery.

I’m so glad i found this website. Its very useful and has lots of info. I was looking out for a good nursery or a playgroup for my 2 yr old daughter. As per the previous comments i found very few feedbacks for the best nursery schools. I will appreciate if parents leave feedback on the respective nursery or playgroups their kids are enrolled in. The following nurseries are in Qusais that I know of.
Little Princess Day Care & Nursery

World Nursery and Al Salam Nursery.

I am not sure of nurseries in Nahda Sharjah area. Nurseries in Sharjah close to Nahda area could be ones in al Khan area like Little Feet, Canadian Montessori Nursery and Blue Bells. I hope this info would be of help.

Hello there
I was happy to read your blog when i was searching for nursery school for my 2 yr old son.
I am a graduate but not working.I know english and hindi,tamil is my mother tongue.Due to family tension I would like to doa job.My elder son studies in Our Own english,Sharjah,he is academically very good in his studies, his class teachers had insisted me on taking up a teacher job.I did not take heed for these 8yrs, but now I am thinking of taking up one.
I speak fluent english, no experience, but am confident that i can manage to teach the younger students to the best of my ability.
I organise my work so i am left with lot of free time, so i did start my blog just a few months back in the interest of sharing my knowledge to my friends.
Please can u take a look and guide me on how to improve.
My main aim is in protecting our earth, global warming issues, besides knowledge and fun and life issues that interest me.

There is indeed a nursery in al khan called Bluebell nursery near the mosque roundabout. Fees is 850 AED / month and has a great environment for children. Transportations are also available and teachers are also good. I have just got admission for my son there . according to me its a best place, i have ever seen. May be there will be a chance for him to get admission now. u can call the nursery and get the info. nursery number is 065281852. or if not, u can get admission him on september.

I am looking for a Creative / Montessori based experienced Teacher to tutor my 7 year old son who needs closer attention because of writing disabilities. He is smart, PC/Net savvy, Gadget savvy and speaks excellent English. UAE unfortunately doesnt have schools which take care of such children. The mainstream schools either are too busy or not equipped to concentrate on him and the Special needs centers cater to only children who need Special needs.

Will UAE stand up to meet these growing needs of the society or will it always remain the ‘oil-rich-mall-hopping’ society….

My two little ones go to Emirates English Nursery, Al Faiha,Sharjah (website emirates-en.com). They follow the British curriculum and they care they give there is really superb. The kids have a great time learning thru playing. The kids get so excited when you tell them its time for school. Mrs. Zahra the owner of the school is very much involved in it and her vision of how a child should be nurtured is appluadable. The teachers. the aides are all very caring. I dont think they would take a child of 16months in any nursery.You could try calling Mrs.Shireen,she is running a nursery near Kuwaiti Roundabout.she has moved recently from another place so pls call her and find out at 050-5286587.
My son is 2yrs4months old and I am going to put him in Early Starters, it s a music based centre teaching basic of learnign thru music.They take on term basis,it started on April but as I too live near Saudi mosque and have been searching,I did not come across till yesterday,so they said I can make him learn from May,with a trial period of 5 days form 26th to 30thApril.I am confident he will do well as he is very hyper and also not good with words for his age.But they take only 2 and half year old.

I have put my son in Early Starters-it’s a musical based school,they are teaching him right from Apphabets to Numbers,things in house etc, .
I just started on April25th,he is enjoying his school as such.U could try that,it is behind Spark Residence hotel.They have bus facility and very reasonable fees!!!!!!!

But their next session starts I think in August, you have to talk to her about this.
I am sending my son who is 2 and half there only from May1st.I am happy as he is able to speak little better than when he was at home.
There is play also for a while,also training for having their tiffin.
They have transport facility too

Majid,
I have visited the British Islamic nursery and it is very very impressive. It seemed to have very caring staff and good facilities and good organisation. The management was very friendly, well organised and dedicated.

It is the only nursery in Sharjah that I know of that has an islamic atmosphere aswell as british and arabic teachers and curriculum methods. I wouldve loved it if I could find something like it on the dubai side of Sharjah but am seriously considering taking my child to British Islamic Nursery despite the distance for me.
Its a big shame that there are so many muslim arabs running nurseries here that dont have an islamic atmosphere and ethos. I would urge Bluebells, Stars and Little feet and others mentioned around the Al Khan area to consider adopting an islamic attitude and ethos and abandon unislamic practices as there can only be benefit in it for them even monetarily speaking. There is a big need for this and I know of many who would be very pleased to find such nurseries in Sharjah.

I am considering setting up a “muslim mums and babies” group if there is sufficient interest for it in the Al nahda area. Please only post your comments on this if this is something that you would find beneficial etc.

  The fees doesnt differ much in blue bells compared to little feet nursery. both have the same tuition fees of 700 dhs per month. their is a difference in bus fees and thats it. the only major difference in them both is that blubells have day care till 7 in the evening whereas little feet provides day care till 2.30 only. so many parents working full day may opt blue bells. but in all other aspects little feet is by no way inferior. i had been to both these nurseries and personally i feel little feet is a very nice place.

My two sons are going to Playdays British Nursery, Sharjah-2 years and 3 1/2 years.
Before I removed them from another nursery because of many problems and I was not satisfied.
Here in playdays I found a great change in them as they have unbelievabely started talking in English so soon.
As a parent I start feeling proud.
And the way they aproach towards learning alphabets, numbers and many more things…that was amazing.
Iam very happy and satisfied with this nursery.
They also trained one of my son for toilet and they built excellent eating habbits in both of them.
I suggest all of my friends to get benefit from this very good nursery available here in our city.

Dear All National Paints Area Residents,

Please if you have kids in the age group of 2 to 4 and they need to go any good nursery or playgroup … think about it . I am living in that area last 8 month and serach a lot about some nursery in that area but in vain . now my baby is 2.8 and she must go to some nursery . So iam sacrificing to change my residence only because of her . Next month iam shifting in Al Majaz or AlKhan area so that she can easily go to some good nursery by transport . Please keep in mind here is no nursery at all in Muweilah or national paints area and no one is willing to give transport facility even in this area.so better to change place for kids then waisting efforts to search for a nursery . You will get only baby sitters here and your kids stop learning and speaking if they will not go in some good atmosphere like playgroup school

Its a sincere advice based on last eight month personal experience.

  i’m new here (UAE) only 2 months . i live in AL falaj Area ..We went yesterday to 4 Nuersery for my 3.5 old son (Al-yamama Nuersery,ABC ,Euro ands Kids Kingdom Nursery ) the best two was Kids Kingdom and Euro Nuersery .. they are not the cheapest but (cleanest and edu Good ) and there is transports . we choose Euro Kids (Edu,VERY Clean and the price ).
  i think around Alkhan or Al Majaz there is many options just visit them during the week without making appt and visit them again on Sat . (it’s your Right to see your child nursery with and without kids and see the play area both times )..

  There is Kidsmate Early Learning Center in Al Nahda Dubai. This can be seen from top of the Al Nahda bridge(roundabout), sharjah exactly opposite on the other side of the road. U may even walk from sharjah to kidsmate as u just need to cross the road but may not be very easy.
  They do have transport facility to al nahda, sharjah.

In Qusais there are a number of nurseries like world nursery, little princess, salaam nursery, diyafah nursery etc.

There is none in Al Nahda, sharjah and the nearest in sharjah is little feet nursery, al khan and blubells nursery.

Anyone staying in and around CEASAR’S bakery,ROLLA or near Amrutha restaurant,Rolla, who can baby-sit my child for a month only.He is 3 yrs old,going to nursery,so I would ready him up and drop him at ur place at 7.am,then u drop him at his school bus-stop at 8.30,pick himup at 12.45 and then keep him with u till 2.45pm.I will pick up after that.
This is needed from Dec 13th to Jan 15th ,but with a few days of training with me in this month for 4 to 5 days,so that the child could get used to you.
I have some temporary project work to do,so am in a dilemma as to how to go about it.
Any ideas or suggestions are also welcome as to how to solve it.
I had asked 2 b.sitters whom I know,they are not able to drop and pick as they have other children to baby-sit.So anyone who has time,love for children and can go about my timing,pls call 050-5002979.

I think you better visit Playdays British Nursery, as far as I know it is one of the best nursery till now for my children. And I will keep them there as long as possible. They get monthly books for English, Math,Arabic,science and songs and do also monthly assessment reports for every child.

  pls try Little Angel British Nursery School, their bus comes to Sharjah National Paints Area, My daughter goes there and she is doing fine. I ‘m happy with her developments. The teachers are good. I suggest you visit them. Good Luck!!

Nice of you to ask me of my opinion on Early Starters!!!

I am very happy with it,my son can converse little better than before,he has been going for about 6 months now,and soon I am going to send him to school for his KG classes.
He had been taught alphabets along with numbers,colors,songs etc.He can recognise things better now,maybe he is still not writing much on his own other than in his classes where just 5 sheets of work is given,all types like art,craft,pasting,coloring,finger print.
It is simple and nice for a young child .
Have already given the contact numbers,please contact them for further assistance.
